A logo should be simple, recognizable and symbolic (except if it’s only a typographic solution). simple – so it can be applied on everything that you want in any technique needed.. and recognizable and symbolic – needs no explanation. you should avoid shadows, gradient, bevels and 3d effects – but of course rules are meant to be broken..
